This is very interesting! If you have not read my Alien Memories story, this is right down that alley of "Not a matter of if, but when" I always say that yes, humans are the smartest animal on Earth. They are also the only animal that can think itself to death. I picture a cartoon chain of evolution, with a robot at the end. There was a time when no one would have believed electricity could become a thing. Why would, in this day of "The Matrix", no one believe that AI could replace us? We are literally trying to replace ourselves already. It is happening right now.
