Jesus Food
Did Jesus leave us magic food? I am not talking about chocolate, which I feel he personally gifted us later as a delicious desert. Just so that our parents could say, you're not getting dessert until you have eaten your dinner! I am talking about the ultimate magic food of fish. I just heard a crowd of people say YUCK in unison. That is okay if you do not enjoy fish but hear me out! Fish are extremely interesting! You could say they are a complete miracle in themselves.
Now, if I had to hunt for my food? (And this goes for half of Americans, I am convinced), you would find me curled up in a fetal position in the nearest forest. I would be the one sobbing “Mama!” and frantically typing nearest McDonald’s into my cell phone. However, I can sit and fish all day with a big smile on my face! “Got one!” you will hear me yell with excitement.
What is it about the slippery, shimmery, magic, flopping fish? It is not even always about food, either! It is fun to catch and release the magic food, too! Which is probably a motive for murder in some third world countries. But, here, where there is food overflowing everywhere? We love to play with our food!
Now, actually the cleaning of fish (especially catfish) can be a bit of an imposition. That part, I leave to my sons, who are very good at it. I agree with the YUCK on that one. That said, do fish feel pain? Well,no one has actually…
