How does one capture the elusive muse?

Should you have your own or adopt? No need to adopt, because you are perfectly capable of raising your very own muse! Start an idea notebook, right now! Now! If you don't like that, use the voice recorder on your phone.

Ideas do not come only once a day. You must be prepared for when they pop into your brain. Believe me, if you don't capture that muse right then, it will escape you.

Between your morning routine, the kids hanging off your last nerve, those dirty dishes and socks staring at you, the phone ringing and a hot shower calling your name, that muse can sneak off.

Grab it by the tail, swing it around, knock it out with a bat, and throw it in a cage for later!

What is a muse anyway?

In ancient Greek mythology, muses were the goddesses of inspiration to the arts, literature, and science. They were the source of inspiration of songs, myths, and poetry, in ancient Greek culture. So, muses were kind of a big deal. They still are! Any source of artistic inspiration can be a muse.

Where do I find a muse?
